Woman Killed in West Bellfort Pedestrian Crash

West Bellfort Avenue, Texas, (December 4, 2017) – A woman was killed in a fatal crash Sunday afternoon in West Bellfort, Houston police said.
HPD said the woman was trying to cross the street when she was hit by a Toyota Corolla in the 7700 block of Bellfort Avenue.
According to HPD, the woman had crossed the eastbound lanes and stood at the median when a car veered around her as she tried to cross the westbound lanes of the road. It is then that another vehicle, Toyota Corolla hit her.
The woman was killed in the crash. Her name was not immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
No additional information regarding the incident was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
