Good Samaritan Injured in San Antonio Car Crash on Babcock Road
San Antonio, Texas (December 24, 2017) – A man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to assist multi-vehicle crash victims on the far Northwest Side, according to San Antonio Police Department.
The crash occurred on North Loop 1604 West southbound pass at Babcock Road about 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, December 23.
Police said the victim stopped his vehicle at the side of the road near the scene of an earlier crash and as he stepped out of his vehicle, he was knocked down by a car passing by.
The victim sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to University Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the man remained at the scene of the crash.
The San Antonio Police Department is conducting an investigation.
