Arcelia Mendoza Dead, Mario Mendoza Hospitalized after Motorcycle Accident on Victoria Road in Donna

Arcelia Mendoza Killed, Mario Mendoza Injured in Donna Motorcycle Crash at Victoria Road and Business 83
Donna, Texas (October 17, 2018) – One person was killed and another was hospitalized after a DUI crash in Donna, according to a local news source.
The crash took place at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, October 13 at the intersection of Victoria Road and Business 83.
Police said Mario Mendoza, 48, and Arcelia Mendoza, 50, were riding on a motorcycle crossing the intersection when a pickup reportedly failed to yield and struck the bike.
The force of the impact ejected both riders.
Arcelia died at the scene while EMS took Mario to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup, Charlie Mendoza, was driving under the influence at the time of the accident. He was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance.
The crash remains under investigation.
