2 Killed in Two-Car Crash at Fuqua and Bathurst in Houston

Houston, Texas (April 25, 2018) – Two people were killed in an accident Wednesday morning in Houston, authorities said.
The fatal crash took place at about 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 25 at Fuqua and Bathurst.
Witness said two vehicles were driving next to each other at high rates of speed eastbound on Fuqua. The drivers, one in a Ford Expedition and the other in a Ford Explorer, lost control of their vehicles when one struck the other near Bathurst.
The Explorer slammed into a tree and overturned as a result of the collision.
Two teenagers in the Explorer died at the scene. Their names have not been released pending identification and notification of family. They were 14 and 15, police said.
Police said a 14-year-old, who was the only survivor of the racing crash, was arrested and booked into Harris County jail on charges of failing to stop and render aid, and racing, causing death.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes.  No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
