Gregg County, TX. – A 31-year-old man was killed in a car crash on Monday evening in Gregg County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on State Highway 149 at around 6:13 p.m.

The 31-year-old man was driving a vehicle southbound on State Highway 149 behind a vehicle that was slowing to turn left into a private residence.

The man swerved to avoid rear-ending the turning vehicle and collided with an oncoming truck driven by a 57-year-old.

The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
