2 Hospitalized after DUI Driver Crashes into Police Patrol Car in San Antonio

Two Injured in San Antonio Crash at San Pedro Avenue and Loop 410
San Antonio, Texas (October 16, 2018) – Two people were hospitalized early Sunday morning after a drunk driver crashed into a police patrol car in San Antonio, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, October 14 at the intersection of San Pedro Avenue and Loop 410.
Authorities said an officer had arrived to help with a previous accident at the intersection when the 43-year-old drunk driver slammed into the side of the patrol car.
According to reports, the officer was in the cabin of the patrol car and suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was reportedly transported to University Hospital.
The unidentified drunk driver was also taken to UH with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the crash.
