Howard Thomas Struck, Killed by Vehicle on State Highway 114 in Levelland

Howard Thomas ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Levelland Accident at State Highway 114 and North Sherman Avenue
Levelland, Texas (November 3, 2018) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday evening in Levelland has been identified as Howard Earl Thomas, 50, according to a statement released by the Levelland Police Department.
The tragic accident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 1 near the intersection of State Highway 114 and North Sherman Avenue.
Authorities said Thomas was attempting to cross the road when for an unknown reason he was hit by a vehicle.
It was immediately unclear if the driver stopped at the scene.
Thomas sustained critical injuries and was found in a ditch off-road. He was then taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No information regarding the description of the vehicle involved was provided.
Police are investigating the accident.
