1 Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 82 in Gainesville

One Injured in Gainesville Four-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 82
Gainesville, Texas (January 9, 2018) – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Friday evening in Gainesville, according to the police.
The incident happened at about 5:40 p.m. Friday, January 5, in the 800 block of Highway 82.
Police said the driver of a blue Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Highway 82 got distracted and crashed into the back of a white Chevrolet Malibu. The impact caused the Malibu to strike the back of a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, which in turn rear-ended a white Ford Expedition.
Police said one person was taken to a hospital. The extent of their injuries was not provided.
One driver was arrested after the crash for possession of a controlled substance and is, therefore, facing drug charges, police said.
