Man Injured in Lake Jackson Bicycle Crash with Car on Oyster Creek Drive

Lake Jackson, Texas (January 31, 2018) – A man was injured in a crash involving a bicycle and a car early Tuesday morning in Lake Jackson, according to authorities.
The accident took place just before 1:22 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, in the 100 block of Oyster Creek Drive.
The Lake Jackson Police Department said the bicyclist entered into the eastbound lane of Oyster creek drive and was struck by an Infinity.
The bicyclist sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a Houston hospital.
The driver of the Infinity remained at the scene.
Police have not released the name of the cyclist. He was only identified as a 29-year-old Lake Jackson man.
Speed and impairment were unlikely factors in the accident, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing, and police believe no charges will be filed.
