1 Killed in Longview Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 281

Longview, Texas (September 21, 2019) – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Friday in Longview, according to the police.

The crash happened on Friday, September 20, on Loop 281 between Gilmer Road and Bill Owens Parkway.

Police said the woman was exiting the parking lot of a business and she tried to cut across to the U-turn lane. She failed to yield to the right-of-way and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

The woman was taken to the hospital, where she was declared dead. Her name has not been disclosed.

The crash temporarily closed westbound Loop 281.

The crash remains under investigation.
