Officer Hurt in Waxahachie Car Collision on Interstate 35 at Brookside Road

Waxahachie, Texas (May 6, 2019) – An officer was hospitalized after a traffic collision involving a driver being pursued by the authorities on Saturday night in Waxahachie.
The incident took place at around 8 p.m. Saturday, May 4, on Interstate 35 at Brookside Road.
According to the authorities, a driver was fleeing from the authorities when an officer laid down spikes in the roadway to stop them. The officer was instead hit by the fleeing vehicle.
The report showed that the officer was flown to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas for treatment.
The fleeing driver was caught and arrested.
