Man Dies in Orange County Motorcycle Accident on Texla Road near State Highway 62

Orange County, Texas (September 14, 2018) – A Vidor man was killed in a fatal crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle in Orange County on Friday morning, according to the DPS.
The accident happened at around 10  a.m. on Texla Road west of Highway 62.
DPS said a 30-year-old man was riding a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Texla Road when he crashed into the rear of a 2017 Chevrolet Pickup truck that slowed down to make a left turn into a private driveway.
The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
The crash caused a closure of the eastbound and westbound lanes of FM 2802 as the scene was cleared.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
