Houston, TX – Three people, including two Houston Police officers, were injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Houston, according to the police.

The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. on September 9 in the 1700 block of Travis at Pease.

Police said the officers had a suspect in the back seat of their patrol car and were heading to a processing location to file paperwork when another vehicle hit their car.

Both officers were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The suspect was also taken to the hospital for treatment and remained in the custody of the police.

The other driver stayed at the scene and was uninjured. It is possible this driver ran a red light.

It was unclear if the patrol car had its emergency lights on at the time of the accident.
