Driver, 28, Passenger 26, Killed in South Sam Houston Parkway West Fatal Car Crash

Houston, Texas (March 13, 2017) –  Houston police are investigating a three-vehicle crash that killed two people at 10900 South Sam Houston Parkway West service road Sunday evening.
The incident occurred at about 5:20 p.m. Sunday, March 12 at the intersection of South Sam Houston Parkway West service road and  West Airport Boulevard.
The vehicles involved in the deadly accident were described as a white Nissan 350z, a white Dodge Durango, and a Honda CRV.
According to the HPD, the Durango was heading north on the South Sam Houston Parkway service road when it ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into the passenger side of the white Nissan heading east on West Airport. The Durango proceeded and hit a light pole on the east side of the street.  The impact of the crash sent the Nissan through the median where it struck a traffic sign and the Honda CRV.
A 26-year-old female passenger of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. The Nissan driver was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he died. HFD paramedics transported the Dodge Durango driver to Memorial Herman Southwest Hospital where is listed in critical condition. The Honda driver was unharmed in the crash.
The names of the deceased parties were not immediately released.
