Child Riding to School Injured in Midlothian Bicycle Crash on Mockingbird Lane

Midlothian, Texas (September 5, 2018) – A teenager riding to school was struck and injured by a vehicle on Tuesday morning in Midlothian, police said.
The incident occurred in the 2400 block of Mockingbird Lane at around 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4.
Police said a 14-year-old Midlothian Independent School District student was riding to a football practice when he was hit by a car.
The victim was taken to a hospital and was expected to recover.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and contacted the authorities.
The crash is under investigation.
