Robert Holaway ID’d as Man Killed in Lufkin Pedestrian Accident on South Timberland Street
Lufkin, Texas (July 8, 2018) – The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday morning in Lufkin has been identified as Robert Holaway, 47, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at about 9:00 a.m. July 7 in the 200 block of South Timberland Drive.
Police said Holaway was attempting to cross the roadway from the Old Loving Toyota location when he was hit by a southbound vehicle driven by George Rowe, 83.
Holaway was rushed to CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial Lufkin, where he was pronounced dead.
Rowe remained at the site of the crash and rendered aid to the injured victim.
Police are investigating the crash.
