Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35 and San Pedro Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (August 5, 2018) – A man was struck and killed early Sunday morning in downtown San Antonio, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident was reported at around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Interstate 35 and San Pedro Avenue.
According to police, the man was trying to cross the northbound lanes of the interstate’s lower level when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The driver then lost control of the vehicle and was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler.
The pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene. His name has not been released pending identification of next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a San Antonio hospital for evaluation. The 18-wheeler driver was not injured.
The lower level of northbound Interstate 35 was closed during the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation.
