One Killed in Dallas Pedestrian Accident at Interstate 35 and 8th Street

Dallas, Texas (August 13, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday morning in Dallas, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash occurred at about 3:15 a.m. near the intersection of Interstate 35 and 8th Street.
Police said the pedestrian was trying to cross the southbound lanes of the interstate when an 18-wheeler failed to stop in time and struck the pedestrian on the road.
The operator of the 18-wheeler stopped at the scene and complied with police.
The pedestrian died at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
