Man Killed in Schertz Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

Schertz, Texas (August 6, 2018) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Monday morning in Schertz, according to the Schertz police.
The fatal accident took place at around 6:09 a.m. in the 18500 block of I-35 North.
Police said a man in his 70s was walking in the right lane of traffic when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver reportedly attempted to drift sideways to avoid the victim but was unsuccessful.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was at the scene when the police arrived.
The Schertz Police Department is looking into the incident.
