Patricia Tidwell Killed in Washington County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 50 at Devault Lane
Washington County, Texas – One person was killed and another was injured Thursday evening in a head-on collision in Washington County, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash happened around 6:24 p.m., May 16, on Farm-to-Market 50 and Devault Lane.
DPS said a 2023 Ford Expedition was traveling northbound while a 2009 Nissan Altima was traveling southbound. The Nissan crossed into the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into the Ford.
The Nissan driver, Patricia Tidwell, 73, of Round Top, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ford driver was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in College Station with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
