Ozona man killed in a collision on US 67 in Irion County
Irion County, TX. – A man was killed in a car accident on Tuesday evening in Irion County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on U.S. 67, north of Barnhart.
Martinez Ezequiel Vela, 59, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro southbound when he drifted across the northbound lanes for unknown reasons and crashed into a retaining wall.
Vela, a resident of Ozona, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
