Man Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 71

Austin, Texas (September 12, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Austin on Tuesday night, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.
The crash took place in the 1800 block of East State Highway 71 westbound at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11.
The EMS said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was said to be in the 30s.
The events leading up to the crash were not immediately established.
The Austin Police Department is conducting an investigation into the crash.
