Juan Dedios Orona III ID’d as Man Killed in Odessa Car Accident on Interstate 20 and FM 1936
Odessa, Texas (July 29, 2019) – The man who was killed early Sunday morning in a traffic accident in Southwest Odessa has been identified as Juan Dedios Orona III, 25, of Kermit, according to authorities.
The fatal crash occurred at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, July 28 on Interstate 20 and FM 1936.
Authorities said Orona was driving a black 2005 Ford F-150 when he entered the westbound lanes of I-20 from the ramp before crossing all lanes of traffic and hit the protected median barrier.
The force of the impact caused the F-150 to roll over, and Orona was ejected. He was then hit by other vehicles.
Orona was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
