Bryan man killed in head-on collision on U.S. Highway 190 near County Road 241B in Milam County
Milam County, TX. – One person was killed in a head-on collision on Friday night in Milam County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on U.S. Highway 190 near County Road 241B at around 10:40 p.m.
37-year-old Jorge Ivan Betancourt-Sanchez was driving a Chevrolet Malibu eastbound and was attempting to pass another car when he collided head-on with a westbound Toyota Camry.
Betancourt-Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota Camry, a 51-year-old woman from Killeen, was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
