Jessica Ann Rachel Killed in Bowie County Pedestrian Accident at US-67 and SH 8

Bowie County, Texas (August 7, 2019) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday morning in Maud, according to the DPS.

The accident happened at about 3:21 a.m. August 6, at the intersection of US-67 and State Highway 8.

DPS said Jessica Ann Rachel, 31, was struck by an unknown vehicle at the intersection. The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Rachel was pronounced dead at the scene.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
