Ignacio Gonzales and his 11-year-old son were killed in the accident
Upshur County, TX. – A father and his son were killed in a car accident on Sunday afternoon near Lake Gilmer in Upshur County.
The double-fatal crash occurred on Farm-to-Market Road 852, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A 16-year-old boy was driving a Cadillac Escalade westbound on Farm-to-Market Road 852 when he drifted into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a car driven by Ignacio Aguillon Gonzales, 53.
Gonzales and his 11-year-old son were killed in the accident.
The condition of the teen driver was not disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
