Rains County, Texas (August 13, 2019) – A waste management worker was fatally hit by a vehicle on Monday morning in Rains County, according to the DPS.
The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Monday, August 12, on Sh 19 South.
DPS said Gary Michael Bishop, 62, of Emory was picking up trash in the area when a vehicle hit him.
Bishop died in the collision.
The DPS is conducting an investigation into the incident.
