91-Year-Old Erlene Gomez Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in the Heights

Houston, Texas (May 20, 2017) – A 91-year-old woman died Thursday night after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver.
The incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18, on Heights Boulevard at 15th Street.
As per the report, Erlene Gomez had just got off a bus and was walking on 15th Street when she was struck from behind by a white Toyota, possibly a 4-runner or a Sequoia.
As per the report, a witness told investigators that the involved driver left the scene slowly.
Gomez was taken to a hospital where she died overnight.
The incident remains under investigation, and the police are looking for the suspect.
