Donald Floyd Killed and Joann Garay Injured in Matagorda Crash on FM 2031
Matagorda, Texas (July 18, 2018) – One person was killed and one other was injured last week Monday night in a traffic accident in Matagorda, according to a local news source.
The fatal crash was reported at about 12:45 p.m. along FM 2031.
According to a police report, Donald Floyd, 60, was driving southbound on FM 2031 when for an unknown reason his vehicle collided with a trailer that was pulled by a Chevy Suburban.
The Floyd’s vehicle then careened into oncoming traffic where it collided with a Chrysler head-on.
Floyd died in the crash. The Chrysler driver, Joann Garay, 40, was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
