Christian Ortiz ID’d as Man Hospitalized after El Paso Pedestrian Crash on N. Piedras Avenue
El Paso, Texas (August 7, 2018) – The 35-year-old man who was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver early Sunday morning in Central El Paso has been identified as Christian Ortiz, according to a local news source.
The incident took place at around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, August 5 at 812 N. Piedras.
Police said Ortiz was standing outside a vehicle when a pickup truck struck him and also hit the parked vehicle.
The truck driver failed to stop at the scene.
Ortiz was seriously hurt in the crash and was transported to a hospital.
Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver. The vehicle is believed to be a four-door pickup truck.
