Child Injured in San Antonio Pedestrian Crash on Austin Highway

San Antonio, Texas (June 20, 2019) – A child was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle on Wednesday evening in Northeast San Antonio, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

The incident happened at about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, near the 2100 block of Austin Highway.

Authorities said a 3-year-old girl walked into the traffic and was hit by a car.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The woman in the involved vehicle remained at the scene .

Police said speed was not a factor in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
