The deputy involved was transported to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance with minor injuries
Linn, TX. – Casandra Nicole Chavez Martinez, 25, was killed in a car accident in Linn on Thursday morning.
According to the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 4:22 p.m. at El Rucio Road and U.S. 281.
A Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was driving a car northbound and was sideswiped by the box truck.
Martinez was driving the box truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deputy involved was transported to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
