Pedestrian Killed, Anthony Carrillo Arrested after San Antonio Pedestrian Crash on Babcock Road

San Antonio, Texas (January 21, 2019) – Police arrested a driver believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian dead late Sunday night in San Antonio.
According to a police report, the incident was reported at around 11 p.m. January 20 in the 2500 block of Babcock Road.
Police said the driver of a white pickup truck fled the scene after striking a 70-year-old man who was trying to cross the street.
The victim was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately released.
Police received tips from witnesses to the crash and were able to track down a suspect. The suspect, identified as Anthony Carrillo, 29, was arrested on charges of failure to stop and render aid.
The crash is under investigation.
