Woman Critically Injured in Westheimer Road Pedestrian Crash near Wilcrest Drive

Houston, Texas (July 22, 2017) – A woman was critically injured early Wednesday morning after being hit by two vehicles on Westheimer Road, according to a police report.
The accident took place at about 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, in the eastbound lanes of Westheimer Road near Wilcrest.
According to the police, a woman was standing in the crosswalk when a red Toyota Tacoma entered the intersection on a green light and struck her.  The impact of the crash knocked the woman into another lane where she was run over by another car.
The pickup driver remained the scene while the second driver drove away.
No further information regarding the crash was provided. The hit-and-run suspect remains at larger, and the police are on the look out for the suspect.
The incident remains under investigation.
