Woman Killed While Walking Across I-45 in Crash Involving 2 Vehicles
Harris County, Texas (May 5, 2017) – Deputies are investigating a dramatic and fatal crash that left a woman dead Tuesday night in the Spring area, according to a police report.
The accident took place at about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 2 on I-45.
According to the report, the woman was walking across the main lanes of North Freeway near Cypresswood Drive off-ramp when she was struck by a vehicle. She was then ran over by a second car, described as an SUV. The SUV then crashed into the first car and caught fire.
As per the report, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the woman was not released pending notification of family.
The incident remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
