Lee County, TX – Two people were killed on Sunday in a head-on collision in Lee County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal accident occurred just after 5:00 p.m. on August 24 on SH 21 near FM 2440.

DPS said a Chevrolet Silverado traveled into the opposite lane of traffic and crashed head-on into a Nissan Altima.

The driver and passenger of the Altima were pronounced dead at the scene and have been identified as Richard and Isabella Ungerman.

No further information was released.

The Texas DPS is investigating the accident.
