Matthew Spahn Dies after Brenham Pedestrian Accident on Gun and Rod Road

Brenham, Texas (October 19, 2018) – A man who was struck by a vehicle earlier his month in Brenham, has succumbed to his injuries, according to the Brenham Police Department.
The crash took place at around 1 a.m. October 7, on Gun and Rod Road.
Police said Matthew Gene Spahn, 21, was walking along the road when he attempted to cross and was struck by an SUV.
Spahn sustained major injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, then transferred to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. Police said Spahn died on Wednesday, October 17.
The driver of the SUV reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The investigation is ongoing.
