One Hospitalized in Amarillo Motorcycle Crash at South Washington Street and Sundown Lane

Amarillo, Texas (November 21, 2017) — A motorcycle collision on Washington Street on Friday evening left a man with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The crash happened on Friday, November 17 near the intersection of South Washington Street and Sundown Lane.
Authorities said a driver of a pickup tried to turn south, making a wide turn when he hit a motorcyclist ridden northbound on Washington Street.
A report said the motorcyclist was ejected from his motorcycle.
Police said the rider suffered critical injuries and was transported to Northwest Texas Hospital for treatment while the driver of the pickup was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail.
Police said alcohol appeared to be a contributing factor in the crash.
