Motorcycle Rider Severely Injured in Gulf Freeway Hit-and-run Crash

Motorcycle, SUV Collide on Gulf Freeway; Rider Injured

Houston, Texas (February 12, 2017) – A rider was severely injured late Saturday night in a hit-and-run crash on Gulf Freeway, according to a report.
The accident took place at about 11:30 p.m. yesterday in the northbound lanes of the feeder road of Interstate 45 South between FM 2351 and Dixie Farm Road.
Reportedly, an SUV struck the motorcycle throwing the rider from the bike. The rider was taken to a medical center with severe injuries which include multiple extensive fractures but was expected to survive.
Meanwhile, the SUV fled the scene after the crash. The vehicle was described as either gray or silver, and the police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident or the hit-and-run driver to contact HPD at 731-247-4073.
The incident remained under investigation.
