Man Killed in Rittiman Road Pedestrian Crash in San Antonio

San Antonio, Texas (May 26, 2018) – A man was fatally struck by a vehicle on Friday night on the Northeast Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The accident occurred on Rittiman Road at about 10 p.m. Friday, May 25.
San Antonio police said a 49-year-old man was attempting to cross the roadway when he was hit by the vehicle.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and rendered aid, police said.
The driver reportedly told the investigators that he didn’t see the pedestrian before striking him.
According to San Antonio police, no charges are expected against the driver.
