Hutchinson County, Texas (May 25, 2018) – One person was killed and another injured in a crash between two vehicles on Wednesday evening in Hutchinson County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash took place on SH-136 at Sara Drive, approximately two miles south of Stinnett at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 23.
DPS said Inez Nolen, 72, of Borger, was sitting in a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer at the intersection when she failed to yield and pulled out in front of a 2012 Ford F-250, driven northbound on SH-136 by Edward Castellano, 44, of Levelland.
The vehicles collided and the impact ejected Nolen from her car.
Nolen was taken to a Borger hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Castellano suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The crash is under investigation.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes. No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies. While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
