Eric Velasquez Killed, One Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on I-10 in San Antonio

San Antonio, Texas (November 12, 2018) – The wrong-way driver who was killed last week Sunday morning in a traffic collision on a freeway in San Antonio has been identified as Eric Velasquez, 34, according to a local news source.
The fatal collision happened at about 2:30 a.m. November 4, in the 3700 block of I-10 near Martin Luther King Drive.
Police said Velasquez was driving in the wrong eastbound lane on the freeway when he collided with a tractor-trailer.
Both vehicles caught fire after the impact.
First responders found Velasquez dead inside his vehicle and the fire had already been extinguished.
The tractor-trailer driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
