Bicyclist Struck and Injured by Car on Barker Cypress Road near Morton Road in Harris County
Harris County, Texas (May 8, 2018) – A bicyclist was airlifted after being struck by a car on Tuesday morning in west Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on Barker Cypress Road near Morton Road.
Deputies said a bicyclist lost control and fell onto a car that was attempting to overtake him.
The impact threw the rider onto the concrete.
The victim was transported by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital with unknown injuries.
The rider was identified as a man in his 40s.
The driver of the car remained at the scene.
Deputies are investigating the crash.
