Two Killed and Two Hospitalized after Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Woodall Rodgers Freeway near Central Expressway
Dallas, Texas (December 6, 2018) – Two men were killed Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash which left a woman and a child injured in downtown Dallas, according to the police.
The fatal crash happened at about 8:44 p.m. December 5, on Woodall Rodgers Freeway at Central Expressway on-ramp.
Police said a 34-year-old Plano man was driving a black Porsche 911 eastbound on Woodall Rodgers Freeway when he lost control on the ramp to northbound Central Expressway, and the car sideswiped a Nissan Juke driven by a 21-year-old woman. The Porsche then fell from the ramp and rolled over on Central Expressway. It then slid down on Woodall Rodgers Freeway before coming to a stop.
The Porsche driver and his front passenger, a 42-year-old Rowlett man, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names were not immediately disclosed.
The Nissan driver and a 3-month-old child in the back seat were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said speed was a likely factor in the crash.
Investigators closed northbound Central Expressway at North Hall Street as they examined the scene and cleared the scene. The lanes were later reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
