Kennedale, TX – One person was killed, and another was seriously injured Saturday evening in an ATV collision in Kennedale, according to the police.
The fatal collision happened just before 9:00 p.m. on March 14, at the racetrack at the Kennedale Speedway Park in the 6737 block of Hudson Village Creek Road.
Police said two officials were riding all-terrain vehicles when they collided while responding to a race car accident on the track during the World of Outlaws event.
Both of the officials were ejected. One of them, Billy Hurt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other official, Jerry Myers, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The collision remains under investigation.
