2 Injured in Wrong-Way Crash in Dallas

Dallas, Texas (June 3, 2018) – Two people were injured in a wrong-way accident in northwest Dallas early Saturday morning, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 1:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2 in the 10000 block of Spangler Road.
According to the authorities, a chase began when a deputy attempted to pull over a car on I-35E near Inwood Road for not staying in a single lane. But the car didn’t stop and a high-speed chase ensued.
The car then ran red lights and stop signs, drove the wrong way and hit another car’s mirror during the chase before coming to a rest at a concrete plant on Spangler Road.
Six teens in the car ranged in age from 14 to 17, attempted to flee, but were taken into custody. Two of the children were listed as runaways.
One of the teens was injured. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Parkland Hospital with a leg and head injury.
The children were released to their parents.
An investigation into the crash is underway.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes.  No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
