San Antonio, Texas (January 12, 2018) – One person was killed in a grisly collision involving a car and a motorcycle early Friday morning on the Northwest Side.
The San Antonio Police Department reported that the accident happened on Loop 1604 near La Cantera Parkway at around 1:30 a.m.
Police said the driver of a silver sedan traveled off the roadway, struck a guardrail and landed back on the road, where the car was struck by a motorcycle.
The 30-year-old driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcycle rider was transported to University Hospital for treatment.
The police are conducting an investigation to determine what caused the driver of the sedan to drift away from the roadway.
