2 Hospitalized in Lufkin after Rollover Crash on Highway 59

2 Drivers Injured in Lufkin Two-Vehicle Crash near Diboll

Lufkin, Texas (November 17, 2017) – Two vehicles were involved in a rollover crash that left two people hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon south of Diboll, authorities said.
A report from the Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash happened on U.S. Highway 59 at around 3 p.m. on Friday, November 17.
A 2007 Ford passenger car traveling northbound on U.S. 59 inside lanes suddenly swerved into the grassy median, spun a couple of times and struck a 2017 Nissan traveling southbound, according to the report.
At least one person was pulled from one of the wrecked vehicles.
The drivers of the two vehicles were transported to CHI St. Luke’s Health-Memorial in Lufkin.
Details on their identities and conditions were not available.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
