Reeves County, TX – A man was killed Saturday night in a rollover collision in Reeves County, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly collision occurred around 9:00 p.m. on April 25 on Interstate 20 at mile marker 26.
DPS said a 2023 International tow truck and a 2019 Freightliner M2 were traveling westbound.
The Freightliner was traveling behind the tow truck.
The tow truck driver saw smoke and moved into the left lane to avoid it.
The tow truck then overcorrected to the right, causing the driver to lose control and the vehicle to roll over. Cargo was ejected from the tow truck, and it struck the Freightliner.
The tow truck driver, Anthonny Michael Zinn, 38, of Duncan, Oklahoma, was taken to Odessa Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
The DPS is investigating the collision.
Reeves County, TX. – A 38-year-old man was killed in a car crash on Saturday night in Reeves County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened on Interstate 20 near mile marker 26 at around 9:00 p.m.
The 38-year-old was driving a tow truck westbound when he lost control, overcorrected and lost control and rolled over.
The tow truck cargo struck a 2019 Freightliner M12 travelling behind it.
The tow truck driver was transported to Odessa Regional Medical Center where he later died.
The Freightliner driver sustained minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
