Officer Injured in Rear-End Crash on I-35 in Austin

Police Officer Hospitalized after Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on I-35
Austin, Texas (November 28, 2018) – A police officer was hospitalized Monday night after a two-vehicle crash on a freeway in Austin near downtown, according to the police.
The crash happened shortly before 10:00 p.m. November 26, on Interstate 35.
Police said officers were assisting an elderly driver who was struggling to drive at night when an Austin driver rear-ended the patrol vehicle.
An officer was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver who crashed into the patrol vehicle was arrested and charged with suspicion of DUI.
The crash remains under investigation.
